Begun Saturday night, updated periodically Sunday.
The Lone Star Iconclast reporters have the raw, "what I'm seeing" local stories from Crawford, Texas today:
Updates from: 'You Don't Speak For Me, Cindy' Campaign
Deborah Mathews reporting for The Iconoclast
4:20 p.m.
At and around the Yellow Rose, people are milling around watching the goings-on. Right now, there are several hundred there. Some boys about high school age walking in the direction of Pirate Field just yelled, "Cindy, the (expletives deleted), get out."
It appears there are a lot of spectators around, simply watching history in the making....
There are photos from this rally here on the Web.
Updates On Cindy Sheehan Visit To Crawford
4:20 p.m.
Gene Ellis reporting for the Iconoclast:
Joan Baez sang about four times this afternoon, a couple of the songs being Joe Hill, The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.
Cindy Sheehan spoke at the rally and at a press conference just after that....
The Iconoclast's index of daily bloglike coverage has moved. Here now.

Although this photo looks like a confrontation, these are anti-war protesters along the road at Camp Casey 2 near President Bush's driveway in Crawford, Texas.
The sign at the left ahead of the truck carrying the giant hand flashing a peace sign reads, "W's lies dishonor troops."
Updated 3:51 p.m.: "At Camp Casey II, to greet a steady stream of pro-war folks driving by, dozens of people stood in the blazing sun and lined the edge of the road with two 40 foot banners that read, "What noble cause?" and "Support Our Troops Bring Them Home Alive," is part of a Crawford Update blog post today.

Here are more AP photos from Crawford today.
At 11:20 a.m., Crawford Update's latest blogger, Jeff Paterson, noted,
All Camp Casey supporters are strongly encouraged to not engage with pro-war protesters in any way.
At 3:45, he published a photo captioned in part, "Over a thousand folks are gathered under the massive tent and surrounding encampment for a full day of music."
Richard Benedetto of USA Today writes it:
Except for one minor scuffle that erupted over a misunderstanding, the rallies and the protests were peaceful, getting no more nasty than one group on one side of the road near Bush's ranch chanting, "Veterans for Peace" and another group of equal size on the other chanting, "Veterans for the War."
There's a brief story from AP, which the New York Times is using; Washington Post has some more. Near the President's Ranch, Protests Expand in the Heat begins,
They arrived in thousands from all corners of the country, asserting their right to protest in the name of war and peace near President Bush's ranch.
It was almost 100 in the shade, but the temperature in this dusty prairie town felt far higher, with protesters of wildly differing views and temperaments packing into narrow roads and small open spaces. Some came to party, some came to weep, a small number came spoiling for a fight -- police said there were two reports of assaults.
Updated Sunday:
Waco Tribune: Arrests, rhetoric highlight protests leads with the arrest of a protester "whose anti-Sheehan sign was deemed unnecessarily offensive by organizers of a large pro-Bush rally. The man carrying the sign became violent when he was asked to put it down."
Protest camp created a virtual city in Crawford is a colorful story by J.B. Smith that admires the organization at Camp Casey, and the food, and contains perhaps the oddest quote of the day:
Hugh Fitzsimons, a bison rancher from Carrizo Springs, Texas, donated 25 pounds of chili, courtesy of his herd. He waxed philosophical about the female leadership of Camp Casey.
“What inspired me to get involved was observing bison behavior,” he said. “They're a matriarchal society. When the female has had enough, she moves the herd forward.”
A slideshow offers more than 50 photos from Camp Casey.
Dallas Morning News: Crawford protests caught in tug of war
Well, from the northern side of the 49th parallel it appears that the madness escallates once again, revealing a lot of misguided energy by many intelligent people who find it easier to get riled up in emotion while more bananarchy abounds in the Bush Inc. Admin. For eg. Bolton and the UN... Pat Robertson making illegal statements on global television about the assassination of Chavez (but no Republican lawmakers are gonna stop him).
What is stunning is that the dialog has AGAIN been located in the for or against mode, this time regarding Iraq. Right wingers are all in a huff over what may very well be a fight-fire-with-fire publicity stunt by the Dems, and I say "well done" because the right has always out-done the left with the emotional propaganda. Its seems hypocritical for right wingers to be all in a huff about Sheehan representing their lost loved ones (or not) when the real issue is HOW DOES BUSH REPRESENT AMERICA TO THE WORLD. Sheehan and the Dems should stick to holding Bush accountable for the endless string of deceits and lies - held politically responsible to be candid (9/11 commission, Downing Street memos, Bolton recess nomination etc), and thanks to the stupid (Un)Patriot Act you no longer have a free country. Terrorists win as long as he gets away with his opaque and truly unpatriotic governing of a once beautiful democracy. The constitution is in tatters, and people are arguing over whether Cindy represents... WHAT ABOUT YOUR PRESIDENT?
