Legal Torrents is gathering and offering high-speed legal downloads (in .torrent format) of files whose creators want them to be shared under a Creative Commons license. .torrent format is used by Bit Torrent, a peer-to-peer file-sharing tool:

August 6th - Newly added: - the CC-licensed version of anime-influenced PC adventure game The White Chamber, the long-awaited PC experimental narrative-based game Facade, the creator-approved 'talkie' version of PC oldschool 2D adventure game The Adventures Of Fatman, a higher-quality re-encoded version of Azazel Jacobs' Nobody Needs To Know feature film, an alt.ambient, 10-album Best Of Webbed Hand Records Vol.1, the charming Siberian nature documentary Field Trip: West Siberia, all thirteen episodes (Ep.1-6, Ep.7-13) of the South African open-source software advocating TV series 'Go_Open', as well as the first nine episodes of the P2P-distributed 'movie pirating drama' in Welcome To The Scene Vol.1.

There's more info about each, and links to the creator's site. Here's more about the latest game, for instance:

[HORROR, ANIME, ADVENTURE]
'The White Chamber' is a 2D adventure game created by Studio Trophis in which the player must 'control a trapped young woman... as she solves puzzles and overcomes the twisted obstacles in her path.' Charles Herold of the New York Times commented of the 2D point-and-click style title, which is created with the WinterMute Engine for adventure games: 'Grisly and intriguing, with logical puzzles and surprising plot twists, Chamber is a first-rate garage game.'
