Kelsey Reynoso, 2, was among the shoppers lined up outside KB Toys waiting for the Glendale (Calif.) Galeria mall to open on Friday, Nov. 26, 2004.

This feels a bit like publishing "what to do with leftover turkey" this week, but blame the early-bird special on the Times.

Reporter Michael Barbaro has jumped the gun on "Black Friday," the busiest shopping day of the year, by pointing us all to the Web sites that have benefited from the leak of the... day-after-Thanksgiving-sale circulars (Shop-Till-You-Drop Specials, Revealed Here First). Assorted printshop employees and/or store employees are likely culprits.

The chase: The sites are BF2005.com, Gottadeal.com and BlackFridayads.com. Background at the Times link.

Bonus links: How to shop on Black Friday. Blogger DollarHacker has worked in big retail, and has tips for those who'll wade into that predawn pack of hunter-gatherers bent on tug-of-war.

If this repulses you, it's also Buy Nothing Day.

I guess I celebrate that one by default. I'll be busy making turkey soup.
