Later: In comments at the bottom of this post, Jorn Barger of Robot Wisdom points to nine more versions he's found. The standout among them is by Pollo Del Mar and it's on their site as an mp3. You might want to dance to it.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game is a corny song, but all anthems have new interpreters.

Dylan opens a baseball-themed XM radio hour by reciting the little-known first verse before singing the chorus a capella. Link courtesy of Elsie Gunn.

Craig Finn of The Hold Steady lives in Brooklyn but his heart's in Minneapolis. Here's The Hold Steady's loving-the-Twins version of it, at StereoGum.

The venerable Harry Caray, Aug. 1, 1987.

John Fogerty does a leisurely version.

Screaming Mimes in Cincinnati, May 13, 2006.

Thanks, Jorn. I watched dozens of videos, and this must be a hard song to sing -- everybody seems to turn it into a nursery rhyme. The instrumentals are usually looser. I'm now thoroughly sick of the song. But it still beats Sweet Caroline. Sox could use a new song.
