Guinea pig festival in Peru The Telegraph (UK) offers eight photos of guinea pigs -- three in a fashion show (held by women in the colorful costumes of the Andes), one of them eating corn on the cob, and three of them cooked (served by women in the colorful costumes of the Andes). It's that kind of festival.

Spots and all: The Globe's Big Picture blog does a nice job with big NASA photos of Jupiter -- 990 pixels wide -- on a plain html page with ads only at the top.

"The first color movie of Jupiter from NASA's Cassini spacecraft shows what it would look like to peel the entire globe of Jupiter, stretch it out on a wall into the form of a rectangular map, and watch its atmosphere evolve with time. The brief movie clip spans 24 Jupiter rotations between Oct. 31 and Nov. 9, 2000. The darker blips that appear are several moons and their shadows."
