The Internet Movie Database (IMDb). which turns 18 on Oct. 17, finally offers video -- full-length movies and TV shows.

From TechCrunch,

...The site -- acquired in 1998 by Amazon -- will now offer 6,000 movies and TV shows free of charge from Hulu, CBS, Sony Pictures Television, and hundreds of independent filmmakers. The content will rotate (much as it does on Hulu), depending on the content-owners' wishes. IMDB will host and stream some of the video itself, but appears to be using embeddable players from Hulu and CBS where possible....

There doesn't seem to be a list of these movies and TV shows -- 20 are featured on the video page, otherwise you seem to have to search for something you want to see and hope it's there. What video is available -- trailers and clips, at least -- appears on the film's regular imdb page.

If you find it, though, you can watch it full screen.

Here's the press release at Amazon.
