Not everybody wants a political pumpkin. Brent Evans at GeekTonic has done the deep digging and compiled a list of more than 40 sites with Free Halloween Jack O Lantern Templates of all sorts.

Stencils live in unlikely places -- silhouetted scenes at World Wildlife Fund, a range of traditional motifs spanning a range of carving skills at Hershey's, and there are even some at Huggies, where Disney offers some stock characters and a promising cat and two quivering-nosed rodents.

I ended up finding a 120 pound pumpkin and then spent 9 hours carving it out, and got it done only seconds before the big day.

There's a link in GeekTonic's list to a tutorial at Geek Culture showing how to Convert a Photo into a Jack-O-Lantern in case you want to surprise someone with a jack-o-lantern that looks just like them.

If you need some instruction, try Walt's Pumpkin Carving Secrets.

And if you just want to admire others' pumpkin art, check out these Google Images search results for jack-0-lanterns, and the jack-o-lantern photo pool at Flickr, where I ran into Brent's link.
