A work in progress during 2005's Providence Street Painting Festival. The artist is Corey Ulrich of Seekonk, Mass.

The Providence Street Painting Festival -- rained out last Saturday -- happens tomorrow at the outdoor Fleet Skating Center downtown. Around 200 artists -- from school kids to professional painters -- will begin their panels at 11 a.m. Go early if you're into process, later if you want to ogle completed artworks. There's live entertainment throughout.

Conveniently it's a WaterFire night, so you can combine your arts intake if you're there after dark.

Streetpainting will be lit till 10 p.m., WaterFire till 12:30 a.m.
