The San Francisco Chronicle offers this collection. I could do the scary Mayan pumpkin. You'll need heavy card stock, glue, an X-Acto-type knife, scissors and two rubber bands.

Tiny insects are monsters if they're bigger than you. I like the insect masks from PBS -- minimalist, you can breathe. The one below is a butterfly.

Tonight is a special night for our own black cat, Miles Davis:

If we get around to it, we'll turn some photos of our cats' faces into masks. (Miles has a brother, a littermate, a Garfield-like orange tabby named Max Roach. It would just be a matter of sizing the photos right, making a couple of black-and-white test prints to get it right.
