The Boston Globe is reporting that ballot measures which would keep the current state income tax and decriminalize the possession of less than an ounce of marijuana will pass.

Current tallies show margins of 69-31 percent and 65-35 percent, respectively, on the two issues, with 59 percent of precincts reporting.

The state's third initiative, which would ban dog racing, is leading by 56-44 percent.

The link leads to current results for the three initiatives; county results are available by drilling deeper from there.

Later: Final, with 100 percent of the precincts reporting:

Voters reject repeal of the state's income tax, 70-30%, with only Essex county dissenting.
Voters decriminalize marijuana 65-35%. Only Clarksburg, Lawrence and Braintree disagree.
Votes ban dog racing 56-44%, with the areas around Raynham/Taunton Greyhound Park and Wonderland Greyhound Park in Revere objecting.

National ballot questions are neatly presented and reveal that gay marriage bans succeeded in Arizona, Florida and California. Attempts to restrict abortions in South Dakota and California failed. Voters in the state of Washington voted to "Allow some terminally ill adults to obtain lethal prescriptions" and Michigan okays medical marijuana and limited use of stem cells for research purposes. More local concerns voted up or down are on that page.
