The Federal Aviation Administration today released mp3s of the air-traffic communications with and about USAirways Flight 1549, whose engines were disabled by a flock of birds, necessitating an emergency landing on the Hudson River in Manhattan on January 15. Here's the transcript, at Scribd. The USAir jet is identified as AWE1549.
Twenty-seven seconds later, AWE1549 says, "we're gonna be in the Hudson," its last communication. Dangerous game: Simplistic, silly but topical online game lets you try to land Flight 1549 on the surface of the river. Keep your nose up. Play Hero on the Hudson. |
