The site was originally called Obamicon.Me, since it let you upload a photo of yourself, then use sliders to apply the blocky color of Shepard Fairey's Obama poster. AP and Fairey are engaged in a legal situation over the use of the photo he transformed, but the color overlays are fair game. (If you want your life to stay quiet, don't use an AP photo of yourself.)
Over at their new Webicon.Me domain (it's the same site) they've added a seasonal option of a pinker palette and hearts with your message (using a few more letters than the Acme Heart Maker). You supply the photo and the sweet words, and you can download your creation to email to your beloved, of whatever stripe. If you want to print it, the downloaded image is 4.4 by 6.5 inches. It's free.
Webicon suggests you upload a photo that's a gif with transparent color. Higher contrast in the photo will offer more highlights.
In the site's mixed gallery of creations, the pink Valentines and red, blue and buff Obama poster colors clash badly.
