A friend of mine sent me this cat game a week or so ago. I allowed myself to try it 5 times with no success. I passed it on to my friends and told them when they know how to do it - to let me know. I haven't heard from them yet.
Then the next day I tried it again and again and again and I successfully did it twice in 2 sittings. Initially I limited myself to 5 times, then 10 times in 1 sitting. I have successfully made it 52 times in the past week.
This morning after reading your blog, I kept the record of the numbers of dots.. which are 9,7 and 10 and I trapped that darn cat on the 3rd try (with 10 dots).
I'm trying not to get addicted to it, but I wanted to figure out if there's a pattern to it and how to beat it all the time or most of the time!!
Pat, I didn't run with it the way you did, but it seemed that the arrangement of dots you're dealt matters a lot. If they're too scattered, you can't establish a perimeter in any one direction before the cat has outrun you.
