Nashville paper is all over Steve McNair's murder; TMZ has backstory photos

Former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair was killed in an apparent murder-suicide with a young woman who worked at an Opry Mills (Dave & Buster's) restaurant and had been dating him for months.

McNair, a hometown hero who did extensive charity work in Nashville, had several gunshot wounds, including one to the head. He was found on the sofa of a Second Avenue condominium that he rented, police said. Sahel Kazemi, 20, was found on the floor near him with a single gunshot wound to her head. A pistol was found near her body.

Metro police spokesman Don Aaron said investigators were not actively looking for suspects Saturday night but had not ruled out any scenarios. He stopped short of calling the deaths a murder-suicide, but said the police should be able to classify the deaths today after autopsies and forensic work.

This AP link will continually update. It reports that Nashville police have this afternoon officially classified McNair's death a homicide.

If I hear another bleeding-heart idiot write about what a "great role model" Steve was and wanted to be to kids or what a "devoted father he was", I think I may throw up. If it is true that this man was having an affair with another woman and kept her in an apartment he was renting and going on vacation with her, he was not a good role model for kids and he was not a devoted father to his children...period, end of story. The media needs to start printing the truth about people and their legacies.

Peole please get a life not every cheated needs To be jugde or is going to hell things happen sometime U fall out of love its not that easy to just divorce some times things change and people change what satifies people when they r young doesnt always work when they get older you just have to do what ever u can to make it work some athletes wife seem to think because of the kids and the money they wont leave i dont knw y he cheated but i know caring for someone other then ur spouse is very easy maybe she made him feel youthful i'm not to judge my husband cheated on me plenty of times and i knw how it feel i also knw what its like to be in love with someone other then him and he wondering Y i dont love him like i used to My prays r with the family of both victims and i hope justice be serve in this case it just dont add up.

As a fellow cheater, I have some sympathy for this guy. A different woman can wake up parts of your life that have been dead for years. I'm beginning to appreciate the old custom of a formal wife with a mistress. It is possible to love both, for differnt reasons. I was faithfully married for 28 years before my wife flipped the switch and started jumping away whenever I touched her. After almost 3 years without sex, I went outside my marraige. I decided I didn't want to live without the the touch of a caring woman. The funny thing is I love my wife more, becuase I now do not resent her coldness towards me.
