Listen To This Eric [JH 003/004, 2CD]
Live at the Royal Albert Hall, London, UK, February 24, 1969. Excellent soundboard stereo.

Everything was captured at the time for a film on the Experience. Even the rehearsals were recorded. This show has to be one of the rawest. It's untouched and "as nature intended". Ebullient guitar solos and killer versions did not improve Hendrix's sombre mood. It can be suggested that Hendrix played with much aggression, aimed at what? we cannot say.

It remains officially unreleased as ownership appears to be disputed. Nonetheless, over the years the tapes have come to light on numerous releases, chopped up, reconstructed, edited and reduced to single disc. Finally, it reappeared complete and in one of the best sounding versions at the time as Listen To This Eric.
