Jackson Browne And David Lindley
Complete Live at the Main Point 1975
The Definitive Version [no label, 3CD]
Live at The Main Point, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, September 7, 1975. Very good radio broadcast.
...the most memorable part of this 1975 three-hour-long gig is when Browne forgets the lyric to Late For the Sky. He stumbles, then apologises to the crowd before asking them to remind him of the words before laughing at himself good-humouredly.It's odd that instead of being a dud track, this is the track you keep returning to. The reason is simple. Late For the Sky came out in 1974 and quickly became the favourite of all Browne albums despite it not having any Hot 100 single. The title track also features one of the most beautiful guitar solos in rock history with David Lindley, who's also here on this gig.
Disc 1 is up now; Discs 2 & 3 are set for Sunday, but the source is in Singapore, so you might check late tomorrow.
