We know runway fashion is now high conceptual art, but we still laughed ourselves silly over this year's haute couture for men.
From this slideshow at the Washington Post, "Thom Browne's rock-star lobsterman aims to express unabashed assuredness" takes the cake, at left; especially when paired with the piece of slicker at right, described only as "Thom Browne's spring collection riffed on fishermen and sailors."
Robin Givhan's archly understated story tries to explain the quahogger chic: Lack of Swagger Hardly Suits the Men's Runway.
There are definitely days -- and not all rainy ones -- when I wouldn't mind wearing Browne's hat with built-in windows, though. Little windshield wipers would be a nice accessory for this.
