MULRONEY.JPGLovable reprobate revival: The New York Post reports that '70s TV hit The Rockford Files will be remade with Dermot Mulroney, at right, in the role James Garner owned -- ex-cop, ex-con P.I living in a trailer at Malibu with his father and driving a Pontiac Sunbird.

Casting call and plotline for the pilot episode, written by David Shore who created "House," indicates that the roles of Rockford's lawyer/girlfriend Beth Davenport and former cellmate Angel Martinez are to be revived as well.
