Google Web Fonts: Yet another new launch, another hundred or so new fonts, eye candy for folks who like fonts and spec type: "Hundreds of free, open-source fonts optimized for the web." They offer the code, too, to embed in your site.

I plopped the javascript code into the middle of this Movable Type blog post, and below it, modified the stylesheet code so it works inline -- in the text -- (but with the brackets pointing the right way):

>h2 style="font-family: '"font-family: 'Molengo', sans-serif;"< text here >/h2<

The result:

This is Molengo

I should say you're not supposed to do it like this, but it works.

I like this new "rapid-release" schedule of Google. With this morning's 'What do you love?' search portal, this afternoon's Google+ social network and the announcement of further minimalization of the design of Google pages (Evolving the Google design and experience), now tonight's Web Fonts dump, I wonder what's in tomorrow's pipeline.

Perhaps we're seeing the hand of Larry Page at Google's helm.
