Reverse graffiti: Removing the dirt

instead of using actual spray cans...some artist are just cleaning dirt off of certain areas to make their masterpieces. and they are calling it reverse graffiti. kind of brilliant.

This photo has been floating around in recent days, unattributed. I tracked it back to the reverse graffiti project of 2008, in which graffiti artist Moose (Paul Curtis) put stencils on San Francisco's Broadway tunnel and washed the exposed parts with Green Works plant-based cleaner. Filmmaker Doug Pray recorded it all, so there's video.

Still an interesting idea.
